I attended the "Private Discussion with Sheikh Haj Hassan". I expected to listen to the Sheikh and put some questions to him.
I knew the Shjeikh through his participation in the ANN TV Program (Al-tariq ila Alhurriya)as a guest. However back to the event of 9th July, I ended up translating and interpreting what he had to say. I am grateful to Mr. Jaafar Al-Ahmar and Ms Ahlam Akram for their kind assistance during the hectic session. I must also express my appreciation and thanks to William Morris for hosting the event at his residence in Vincent Square and for his insightful questioning of the Sheikh, which resulted in long detailed analysis from the Sheikh and more trnaslation work for me.
Finally, thanks to Sheikh Haj Hassan for his forthright views and his pessimistic assessment. I must not forget my colleague Mr. Mousa Srour who translated the English questions into Arabic for the Sheikh.
